About the Alliance

Why Join?

The SCMAA understands the unique challenges that accompany life in a medical family. From leadership opportunities to healthcare advocacy, we are influencing positive change.

Why Join the Alliance?
Become a Centennial Club Donor

Join us in honoring both the legacy of SCMAA and the members who have sustained it. Your $100 (or more!) donation to the Centennial Club signifies that you value the contributions members have made to their Alliance since 1923.

Past presidents, current leaders, and all active members of the SCMA and SCMAA are invited to join. Medical Society and Alliance groups are encouraged to honor special Alliance members for service to their community or to their organization through an Honorary Centennial Club membership. Centennial donors will be recognized in an SCMAA Newsletter and will receive a commemorative gold Centennial Club pin. All donations will go toward the Annual President’s Scholarship Fund.

President's Fund

Each year, the South Carolina Medical Association Alliance (SCMAA) raises money for scholarships that are awarded to South Carolina medical school students from each medical school across the state. This President’s Scholarship Fund has promoted the future leaders of medicine since its founding.

The SCMAA accepts tax-deductible donations which help fund yearly scholarships for each of the medical schools in the state.

Burn Out? Reach Out!

The Alliance continues to advocate for the wellbeing of physicians in SC with the “Burn Out? Reach Out!” campaign. In an effort to promote this initiative, a poster was designed to educate physicians on a pivotal (and positive!) change in license renewal language, and their ability to seek the help they need and deserve.

Any physician or practice interested in ordering official "Burn Out? Reach Out!" posters (click to view PDF), please contact alliance@scmedical.org
