On Friday, conference attendees will be treated to a captivating keynote speaker, Captain Jeff Skiles, presenting on his experiences as a pilot (with Captain Sullenberger) on US Airways Flight 1549 that landed in the Hudson River. The talk will incorporate relatable challenges faced by physicians every single day.

SCMA’s House of Delegates will convene for its annual meeting on Friday, April 28 and Sunday, April 30 at the Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort and Spa at Grande Dunes. The forum gives physicians from across the state an opportunity to gather as a professional group to present and debate policies that affect the practice of medicine and the delivery of patient care in South Carolina.
Each component medical society is entitled to representation in the House of Delegates and is required by SCMA’s bylaws to select and promptly report the names of delegates to the SCMA Office. If you are interested in participating in the House of Delegates, contact your local county medical society.
Residents, fellows, and medical students can showcase their work in medical research and case studies by submitting a poster. During the meeting, we encourage attendees to come by and check out the posters.

Any member of the SCMA may submit a resolution for consideration. All resolutions must be submitted to the SCMA Board of Trustees by March 10, 2023.
To submit your resolution to the Board of Trustees, please email the resolution in a Word document to Ms. Diana Fernandez.
